About Thomas

Thomas is a parent and alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania. After earning his MBA at the Wharton School in 2003, he moved to Silicon Valley. For three years, he was director of admissions and financial aid at Wharton School. He worked closely with admissions professionals, students, alumni, and professors to create the best possible MBA class.


Thomas has been an entrepreneur his entire life in the fields of finance, agriculture, wellness, and sporting goods. As the founder of Global Education Opportunities, he works with diverse and underserved communities to help them become successful college students. Thomas started the podcast Admittedly because he is passionate about demystifying the application process for parents and applicants.

I'm the former director of MBA admissions and financial aid for my alma mater, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In this podcast, I don't promise easy answers or quick fixes. But I will use my decades of experience to help you achieve your education goals. Now, let's get started.

    Today we are celebrating the end of another school year, parents and students, congratulations, I know that some of you are finishing up with graduation right now. Others are looking forward to a summer full of activities, research, travel, classes, and all kinds of exciting things still others are digging in right now and preparing for the LSAT exam. Whatever it is that you're doing, I hope you take a few minutes and just reflect on the past year. celebrate your accomplishments. Enjoy what you have done.

    And let's look forward, we have an exciting second season coming up. You might notice that we haven't posted many new episodes recently. And that's because we're taking a brief hiatus for the start of summer. We're letting everybody settle in and take a look at the road ahead. But don't worry, we will be back. We also have some very exciting content planned for this summer, I would encourage you to follow us on social media at admittedly podcast on Instagram. Because we're going to be launching some unique content only for those of you who are on our mailing list. We have a great community built already. Thank you so much to everyone for your feedback, your comments, your questions, it's really helped shape and inform and drive the topics that we've addressed in our first season.

    Because of you and a very special thank you and heartfelt thank you to those of you who have been following and supporting us. We are in the top 10% of all podcasts globally. It's an incredible and humbling achievement, and this is our first season. And we're really looking forward to improving and giving you more of the content that you want in the coming year.

    As we approach the fall, we're going to talk about prep school admissions, Graduate School Admissions. And for your juniors in high school, we're really going to ramp up and dig in and focus on the upcoming admission cycle. We're very excited about it, we have some great new guests. And we have some students who will be coming on, we're going to break down their candidacy and have some good frank conversations, much as we did with Maui. And in fact, Maui will be coming back. I know we didn't scare him off. And we're going to talk to him as he starts his second year in high school.
